In today’s youth conference call several of you expressed concerns because stores didn’t have specialty items or needed help with school lists
and this just happened to show up on my Facebook News Feed… I checked it out and went to Target’s website and found it

     *   School & Office Supplies
     *   Scroll Down to Features
        *   Click on School List Assist
I don’t know if this is helpful, but thought I would share

a creative way to get your backpack’s filled is you could also do like an angel tree type of thing for the public (or send info to large businesses/ community donors) asking them to donate a child’s school supplies or donate an entire backpack by putting just the teacher’s name and grade and providing the Target link so people could go to Target’s website and have everything delivered directly to your agency

CYCC DESCRIPTION

End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin hosts these children and youth program conference calls about once a month. These calls are opportunities for all Children & Youth Advocates to meet staff from other Wisconsin DV programs, gain resources, and discuss their programming.

The calls are specifically for any advocate or youth workers that provide programming to children, youth, teens or parents who have experienced trauma.  To connect with other advocates and End Abuse staff and discuss our work. Here are some details:

  *   While the topic of these calls is advocacy with children, youth, teens, and parents, they are open to any staff in a Wisconsin domestic abuse program.
  *   Calls are facilitated by Cody Warner, End Abuse’s LGBTQ & Youth Program Director.
  *   The calls are free.

  *   Registration is not required.
